The Office of Research Quality at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is issuing this notice to inform the extramural research community about updates to its initiative to develop an educational resource on the principles of rigorous research. The first set of applications have been funded from the Materials to Enhance Training in Experimental Rigor (METER) (UE5 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) funding opportunity, and two more receipt dates remain: October 11, 2022 and October 10, 2023. Because the mission of this initiative is to develop educational units on a variety of principles of rigorous research, NINDS would like to inform the scientific community about principles of rigorous research that remain high priority for potential development into educational units by METER applicants.
