Yimin Zou, Ph.D.

Dr. Yimin Zou studies the signaling and cell biological mechanisms of axon guidance that lead to the formation of neural circuits. For this project, he investigates how Wnt signaling in specific pathways contributes both to axon guidance in neural circuit formation, as well as to axon regrowth after spinal cord injury. A greater understanding of Wnt signaling will address unsolved fundamental questions in axon growth, as well as in axon regeneration following injury
