Christopher Makinson is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences at Stanford University. In the laboratories of Dr. John Huguenard and Dr. Sergiu Pasca, Christopher aims to understand the role of voltage-gated sodium channels in epilepsy, with emphasis on determining how mutations in sodium channel genes can alter thalamocortical activity. Dr. Makinson received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Emory University and his B.S. in Biology from Wake Forest University.
