Yishi Jin, Ph.D.

Dr. Yishi Jin’s research is centered on understanding the molecular genetic mechanisms underlying the development and function of the nervous system. Her team uses forward genetic screens and multi-layered molecular and cellular manipulations in the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans. The goals of this research program are to apply these methods and system to identify molecules involved in the formation, maintenance, and function of synapses as well as those involved in axon regeneration.
