Wenqin Luo was a Research Associate in the Department of Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In the laboratory of David Ginty, her research project aimed to reveal the development and unique functions of newly identified somatosensory neurons implicated in discrimination touch sensation. This work can inform future strategies at promoting nerve regeneration after spinal cord injury. She earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University, her M.S. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, and her M.D. from Hunan Medical University in China.
