Naiara Aquizu Lopez was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Scripps Research Institute. In the lab of Dr. Ulrich Mueller, Naiara investigated the role of Adenosine Monophosphate Deaminase 2 (AMPD2) in neuronal development and degeneration. Naiara earned her Ph.D. in Biomedicine from the University of Barcelona and her B.S. in Biology from University Pompeu Fabra. Currently, Dr. Aquizu Lopez is an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at University of Pennsylvania.
