Dr. Maria Lehtinen was a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Christopher Walsh in the Division of Genetics and Genomics at Boston Children's Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. Her research focused on investigating the role of embryonic cerebrospinal fluid proteome in regulating cortical progenitor proliferation during development. This research helped to provide a foundation for investigating changes in the cerebrospinal fluid stem cell niche in aging and age-associated neurological disease. She earned her Ph.D. in neurobiology from Harvard University, Massachusetts and her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania. She is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts.
