Dr. Jill C. Wildonger was a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Yuh Nung Jan in the Department of Physiology at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, University of California - San Francisco, California. Using Drosophila as a model system, she aimed to identify the mechanisms that create distinct axonal and dendritic compartments within neurons and understand how this contributes to normal neuronal function in vivo. She earned her Ph.D. from the Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute, Columbia University, New York, and her B.A. from Swarthmore College, Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. She is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin.
