Jared Smith was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. In the lab of Dr. Xin Jin, Jared researched the role of basal ganglia in action selection and learning to identify neural circuits for therapeutic intervention in psychiatric and neurological disorders. Jared received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and his B.S. in Chemistry from Bucknell University. Currently, Dr. Smith is a Senior Scientist at REGENXBIO, Inc.
