Dr. Evan W. Miller was a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Roger Tsien at the University of California - San Diego, California. His research focused on applying newly synthesized molecular wire voltage sensors to study electrical activity in mammalian brain slices and establishing a new paradigm for constructing genetically encoded voltage sensitive fluorescent proteins. He earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, California, his B.S. in biology/chemistry and his B.A. in philosophy/theology from the Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, California. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Molecular & Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley, California.
