David MacLean was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at University of Texas Health Science Center. In the lab of Vasanthi Jayaraman, David researched the molecular details of how Acid Sensing Ion Channels are activated and desensitized with the view to guide drug development efforts. David earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Canada-McGill University and B.S. in Neuroscience from University of Toronto. Currently, Dr. MacLean is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at University of Rochester.
