Catherine Marie Drerup was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Oregon Health and Science University. In the lab of Dr. Alex Nechiporuk, her research optimized techniques to image axonal transport of discreet cargo in axons in vivo, using zebrafish embryos and larvae. She received her Ph.D. in neuroscience from Northwestern University and earned her B.S. and M.S. in biology from Bowling Green State University. Currently, Dr. Drerup is a tenure-track investigator in the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, where she heads the Unit of Neuronal Cell Biology.
