Karen Barnes started her NIH career working for the National Institute for Neurological Disease and Stroke (NINDS) as a grants management specialist in 2019. Before joining NIH, Karen spent over 15 years managing grants, cooperative agreements and contracts to support research at non-profit organizations, local government agencies, and public universities.
Karen earned a B.S in Accounting, M.S. in Accounting & IT, a Masters Certificate in Government Contracting, and is a Certified Research Administrator
