Gerda Gallop-Goodman is a Technical Writer-Editor in the Health Education and Information Branch (HEIB) of the Office of Neuroscience Communications and Engagement (ONCE). Gerda recently served as a Communications Specialist on the Policy, Legislative, Communications, and Engagement (PLCE) Team in the NIH Office of AIDS Research (OAR). She also served as a Writer-Editor in the Department of the Navy Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, and Suicide Prevention and Response Office (DON SAPRO)/Office of Force Resiliency.

Gerda previously served as a Writer-Editor at NIH at the National Institute on Aging (NIA), National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), and the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), where she worked on diverse projects such as videos, infographics, print publications, web content, media relations, and events. Prior to that, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania; a program specialist at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center; a contract editor and freelance journalist; and as an education and outreach coordinator at Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Gerda has also served as a writer and editor at several communications consulting firms, nonprofits, magazines, and a newspaper covering business, marketing trends, parenting, and health. In addition, she is the founder of 3G Media, Inc., an editorial services firm. She is passionate about educating and informing diverse audiences on how they can improve their health and well-being. 

She received her M.P.H. with a concentration in public health communications and marketing from the George Washington University and her B.A. in Journalism and a double major in African and Afro-American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
