Dr. Chris Boshoff joined the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) in April 2014 and currently serves as the Scientific Project Manager for the Collaborative Research to Enable and Advance Translational Enterprises for Biologics (CREATE Bio) program. Dr. Boshoff also facilitates translational efforts of intramural innovations. Prior to joining NINDS, Dr. Boshoff worked at United States Diagnostic Standards where he was a Director of Program Management, overseeing regulatory and reimbursement strategies for clinical diagnostic development and early phase oncology clinical trials. Prior to that he worked at NABI Biopharmacuticals that was developing a smoking cessation vaccine; at the Foundation for the NIH where he was responsible for the immunology and Inflammation biomarker efforts; and at Technical Resources International, a CRO focused on oncology drug development. Chris gained his core experience on biologics and diagnostic devices development at Abbott Laboratories and its subsidiaries, where he spent 8 years after receiving his PhD in Virology from Univ. of Natal in Durban South Africa.
