Melonise Battle is a Clinical Data Manager with the NINDS Clinical Trials Unit. Ms. Battle joined NINDS in July 2016. As a CDM, her primary role is to assist the Principal Investigator and research team with all data management activities from study start-up to database lock. Ms. Battle is also developing SOPs to standardize data management activities across NINDS.
Ms. Battle received her Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from Kaplan University. Ms. Battle is a current member of AHIMA. Prior to coming to NINDS, Ms. Battle was with the NCI Surgery Branch Immunology Section for 14 years serving as a Lead Data Manager assisting with case report form design and database setup. She maintained a clinical research database of valuable patient information for the Surgery Branch experimental clinical trials which involved collecting and entering patient data into an electronic data capture system in accordance with the protocol design. Ms. Battle also conducted internal monitoring reviews and participated in external audits.
