Michaela Jansen was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In the lab of Dr. Myles Akabas, Michaela studied the structure and function of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor to provide new avenues for treatment of neurological diseases. Michaela earned her Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry and her Pharm D. from the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. Currently, Dr. Jansen is an Associate Professor of Cell Physiology and Molecular Biophysics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
