Janghoo Lim was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. In the laboratory of Huda Zoghbi, his research examined the mechanisms by which Nemo-like kinase (NLK) contributes to spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 pathogenesis through genetic interaction studies with mice as well as biochemical approaches. This work will lead to a better understanding of other neurodegenerative diseases, ultimately paving the way for the rational design of effective therapeutic interventions. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine, his M.S. in Biological Sciences from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and his B.S. in Microbiology from Chonnam National University.
