Drs. Florence Bourgeois, Tianxi Cai, Isaac Kohane, Page Pennell and Clemens Scherzer, Dr. Beaulieu-Jones will aim to quantify the differences between clinical trial and real-world populations. He will begin by comparing trials with individual level data to real-world data sources. He will then develop methodologies to infer most likely individual-level statistics from aggregate trial statistics using real world data. Finally, he will compare neurological trials that do not release individual level data to real world data. This work may be able to identify groups that are underrepresented in clinical trials, thus identifying a source of potential healthcare disparities. Dr. Beaulieu-Jones received his Bachelor of Science from Boston College and his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.
