After finishing his undergraduate studies at Princeton University, he received his M.D. from Columbia University. Dr. Vogel completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and went on to complete a minimally invasive fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital at Harvard University, followed by a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at St. Louis Children's Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis.
