Awarded Project
Dr. Zinn studies molecular mechanisms driving neuronal circuit development and repair, including the roles of an important but poorly understood class of molecules called receptor-linked protein-tyrosine phosphatases (RPTPs). Using the fruit fly drosophila and building on a screening approach developed in his lab, Dr. Zinn will describe previously unknown binding partners for RPTPs and examine how signaling through specific RPTPs works.
