Cameron McIntyre, Ph.D.

Dr. Cameron McIntyre's laboratory combines results from functional imaging, neurophysiology and neuroanatomy with detailed computational models to enhance understanding of the effects of deep brain stimulation (DBS). The group then leverages that growing knowledge on the therapeutic mechanisms of DBS to better engineer the next generation of DBS devices. For this project, he will use the latest advances in magnetic resonance imaging, DBS computational modeling, and holographic visualization to further the clinical practice of subthalamic DBS for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
