Overview
NINDS invests in neuroscience across the spectrum of basic, translational, and clinical stroke research and engages researchers, clinicians, and the stroke patient community in monitoring progress in stroke research and identifying research goals. Strategic planning for NINDS stroke research led to the establishment of StrokeNet–the NINDS clinical trials network for stroke, and it continues to shape overall NINDS priorities for research on stroke prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. In addition to broad strategic planning, NINDS also convenes research workshops and other meetings to inform activities in specific areas of stroke research.
