Tamara Allard, M.S., Ph.D.

Dr. Tamara Allard (she/her) is a Targeted Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) serving as Chief of Staff for the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). Dr. Allard has been with NINDS since August of 2023, previously serving as Special Assistant to the NINDS Chief of Staff. Tamara received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Neuro and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Maryland. Her dissertation focused on identifying neural mechanisms that support memory development during early childhood and understanding whether individual differences in nap habits impact development of those memory-related mechanisms.
