Dr. Sudha Srinivasan’s interests are broad and include host response to disease, particularly from a host genetics perspective, the ethical, social and legal aspects of research, helping bridge the divide between basic and clinical research and fostering domestic and international collaborations in public health, to strengthen and promote health research across the globe. She is especially passionate about research capacity building in low and middle-income countries, and in the intersection of global health, health equity and health disparities.

Dr. Sudha Srinivasan has over 25 years of cumulative professional experience in leading, implementing, coordinating, and managing a breadth of multilateral public health programs and projects, both, international and domestic in scope and impact. Dr. Srinivasan has worked in Global Health for most of her professional career, and at multiple institutes at the NIH which includes National Human Genomics Research Institute, the Fogarty International Center, the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and USG agencies such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in addition to private sector experience.  She has worked and managed projects in a wide variety of subject areas ranging from infectious and non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, nutrition, food security, genomics/ genetics and implementation science.

Dr. Srinivasan obtained her doctoral degree focused on Human Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Public Health degree, from the Johns Hopkins University; and she also served as a AAAS Diplomacy fellow at USAID.
