Dr. Leslie Osborne joined the Systems and Cognitive Neuroscience cluster at NINDS in 2022 to oversee programs in systems and computational neuroscience. Before joining extramural research, Dr. Osborne help faculty positions at the University of Chicago and Duke University where her laboratory studied sensory coding, cortical visual motion processing and smooth pursuit eye movement behavior. She trained at the University of California Sloan Center for Theoretical Neurobiology and earned a PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Osborne was an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Faculty Research Fellow (2010-2011) and a Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences (2010).
