Lauren Laboissonniere is a Health Program Specialist in the Movement Disorders and Neurodegeneration (MDN) cluster of the Division of Neuroscience. Prior to joining NINDS, Dr. Laboissonniere was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Florida under Dr. Matthew LaVoie where she explored the neuroprotective role of parkin in dopaminergic neurons differentiated from patient-derived iPSCs. She previously completed a postdoctoral fellowship under Dr. Laura Ranum exploring novel immunotherapies for the treatment of C9orf72 ALS/FTD. Dr. Laboissonniere completed a PhD in Neuroscience at Iowa State University in the laboratory of Dr. Jeffrey Trimarchi and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
