
Kia Brooks is a Regulatory Affairs Specialist in the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU). Ms. Brooks joined NINDS/CTU in October 2019 where she provides regulatory support to the NNDCS, Neurogenetics Branch.
Ms. Brooks received her bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland. She then went on to receive a master’s degree in Clinical Trial Sciences from Rutgers University. Ms. Brooks started her career doing benchwork in cancer, AIDS, biodefense, and radiobiological research. She also coordinated clinical trials in oncology, preventive medicine, urology, cardiology/heart failure, and dermatology. Prior to joining the CTU, Ms. Brooks managed several hearing research programs and projects within the Department of Defense.
