Gretchen C. Scott is a Clinical Research Project Manager in the Division of Clinical Research (DCR) where she supports Strategies to Innovate Emergency Care Clinical Trials Network (SIREN). Prior to joining DCR, Gretchen was a Research Nurse Specialist in the NINDS Division of Intramural Research (DIR) Surgical Neurology Branch (SNB) for 12 years. Gretchen has extensive experience in the coordination of clinical trials focused on the neurosurgical treatment of subjects with neurological disorders such as glioblastoma, Parkinson's disease and epilepsy. She was the point person for a NINDS partnership that supported recruitment and referral to SNB clinical research protocols and the Project Manager for the SNB's clinical research data management initiatives. Prior to joining NIH/NINDS, Gretchen worked as a Pharmaceutical Project Manager after obtaining a BS in Biology. She later pursued a BSN degree and was a certified Critical Care Nurse with a specialization in cardiac ICU care. Gretchen has continued interest in research related to acute illness and emergency care, as well as data management and sharing practices.
