
Dr. Lee is a Health Program Specialist in the NINDS Neurogenetics Cluster. She received her B.S. in Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of Rochester and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell and Developmental Biology from Emory University. Her Ph.D. work focused on mitochondrial dynamics and the role of mitochondria in health and neurological disease. Prior to joining NINDS as a Health Program Specialist in 2021, she was an IRTA Postdoctoral Fellow at NINDS in the laboratory of Dr. Craig Blackstone. Dr. Lee's postdoctoral work focused on endoplasmic reticulum dysfunction in the neurological disorder, hereditary spastic paraplegia. Her research expertise includes genetics, molecular biology, advanced imaging techniques, organelle biology, and neuroscience.
