Dr. Carol Taylor-Burds is a Program Director in the Division of Translational Research for the NINDS/HEAL Biomarker Programs and a Scientific Project Manager for the Blueprint Neurotherapeutics Program. Previously, Carol was in the Division of Neuroscience, Repair and Plasticity Cluster where she was a Health Program Specialist supporting the neurotrauma portfolios (spinal cord/peripheral nerve and traumatic brain injury), and involved in programmatic oversight of the Federal Interagency Traumatic Brain Injury Research (FITBIR) informatics system. Carol first joined NINDS as a postdoctoral fellow in the NINDS Intramural Program studying GnRH neuron development and physiology, and did a detail with the NINDS Office of Science Policy and Planning. Carol obtained her PhD in Biology from the University of Vermont, and a BS in Neuroscience from Regis University.
