Andrew N Chen, PhD is a Health Program Specialist in the Channels, Synapses, and Circuits cluster at NINDS. Prior to joining NINDS, he was a Senior Associate at the Milken Institute Center for Strategic Philanthropy, where he advised philanthropists on strategies and opportunities to support scientific and medical research. Dr. Chen received his BA in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University and PhD in neuroscience from the University of Virginia. His graduate work focused on understanding intrinsic physiology and experience-dependent plasticity in the central auditory system of songbirds.
