Health Program Specialist

Division of Translational Research

Dr. Bachman joined the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) in 2019 and serves as a Heath Program Specialist supporting the Innovation Grants to Nurture Initial Translational Efforts (IGNITE) and Biomarkers Programs in the Division of Translational Research (DTR). She received her Ph.D in Neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, studying molecular mechanisms of glutamate receptor trafficking and synaptic plasticity under the direction of Dr. Richard L. Huganir. Upon graduation, she joined the lab of Dr. Nelson Spruston at HHMI’s Janelia Research Campus where she worked on cellular diversity and circuit mapping in the rodent hippocampus.
