The Office of Scientific Management and Operations (OSMO) accelerates the advancement of neuroscience through proactive leadership, guidance, and comprehensive support, fostering the integration of science, management, and operations within the Institute and across its diverse range of scientific initiatives. The office aims to strengthen the partnerships between science and administration by strategically combining scientific, organizational, policy, and communications to optimize operational support for the Institute’s scientific priorities.

Dr. Jill Harper serves as NINDS Acting Deputy Director of the Office of Scientific Management and Operations, and Acting Executive Officer, where she leads strategic efforts that optimize operational support for the Institute’s scientific priorities and accelerate the pace of neuroscience research.
