Yela joined NINDS in March 2024 as a Grants Management Specialist. Prior to joining NIH, Yela worked in the cybersecurity field providing contracting and sales support to various domestic and international teams and was responsible for overseeing global financial transactions with the largest cloud providers (AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure). While living in Las Vegas, Yela worked in convention sales and represented prestigious hotel chains internationally. She also obtained a B.A. in Psychology from University of Nevada. Her bilingual skills (fluent in Spanish) allowed Yela to forge important business relationships with key international players in the tourism industry.
Most recently, Yela obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from George Mason University. This latest accomplishment has allowed Yela to further develop her analytical skills while participating in key projects within her place of employment, directly influencing leadership decisions. Yela's business acumen and educational trajectory have shaped her passion and commitment to quality work and delivering exceptional results.
