Sean McCarthy is a Clinical Research Project Manager in the Division of Clinical Research at the NINDS. Prior to joining DCR, he was a Nurse Consultant in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease Division of Autoimmunity, Immunology, and Transplant Branch, managing clinical trials in autoimmune diseases, including Multiple Sclerosis. Sean came to NIH from the private sector where he managed a portfolio of domestic and international clinical trials in infectious disease in the NIAID funded Influenza Research Collaboration, the AIDS Clinical Trails Network, and the Mexican Emerging Infectious Disease Clinical Research Network. Sean began his career in clinical research as a study coordinator in the U.S. Military HIV Research Program. Sean earned his BS and MS in Nursing from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY.
