Oksana joined the NINDS Technology Transfer Office in 2016. From 2009-2016 she worked in the Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Office at NIAID as Senior Technology Transfer Specialist. Her technology transfer expertise focuses on complex transactional agreements, including clinical trial agreements, and on research involving human subjects. Oksana first came to NIH in 1999 as a postdoctoral CRTA fellow at the National Cancer Institute. Her research in the Laboratory of Cell Regulation and Carcinogenesis in NCI focused on developing novel approaches for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer using TGF-beta antagonists as cancer therapeutics. She continued as Bioinformatics Scientists in NCBI working on complex genome annotations and database management. During her scientific career Oksana co-authored several research articles. Oksana earned a Master’s degree in Biochemistry at Lomonosov Moscow State University and a doctoral degree in Molecular Biology at Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology in Russia. Oksana recently earned a Master’s Certificate in Clinical Research Conduct and Management at the University of California in Berkley. Outside of work, you’ll find Oksana with her camera passionately pursuing her photography.
