Dr. Jeffrey Kopsick is a Health Program Specialist supporting the BRAIN Connectivity across Scales (CONNECTS) portfolio and the Neurotechnology & Integrated Systems Cluster within the BRAIN Initiative. Prior to joining the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, he received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from George Mason University and B.S. in Mathematics from James Madison University. His dissertation work in the laboratory of Dr. Giorgio Ascoli focused on building and simulating data-driven, cell-type specific network models of the hippocampal formation to better understand auto-associative memory formation and retrieval. Jeffrey enjoys hiking in the Shenandoah Valley and reading science fiction and philosophy books.
