Janet Oputa joined the NIH HEAL Initiative in February 2023, and later joined the National Institutes of Neurological Disorders and Stroke in October 2023 where she serves as a project manager and Federal contractor. Janet Oputa provides project management and administrative support to the HEAL Data Ecosystem team and simultaneously co-manages the HEAL Connections Center funding award.
Prior to joining the HEAL Initiative and NINDS, Janet was a project manager for a health policy organization where she led population health and innovation project portfolios and policy analysis activities that spanned digital innovations, healthcare access and transformation, and social determinants of health.
Janet graduated with a Master of Public Health degree from George Mason University and has a Project Management Professional certification from Project Management Institute. In her spare time, Janet enjoys cooking, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends. She is also a dog mom to her adorable Maltese Shih Tzu, Drew.
