My name is Jacqueline Hall-McFarquhar, although most times I am called Jacqueline Hall. I started as a temporary employee at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), January of 2000 and have been employed as a federal employee at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for over 23 years. I have served in multiple positions as a fed in different institutes and, in the Immediate Office of the Director (IMOD), NIH.
Most recently, I worked as an expert Review Program Specialist at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) within the Division of Extramural Research Activities (DERA). I have more than eight years of experience working with Grants, Contracts, and Cooperative Agreements. I'm a service-oriented individual, who excels at prioritizing multiple tasks with a demonstrated proven ability to quickly learn policies, procedures and information systems. In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from the University of Maryland. I pride myself in contributing to the mission and core values of the Institute and/or Centers for which I'm honored to work.
In 2008, I served as the Vice President for the newly created Caribbean Association of NIH. The theme was “NIH Taste of the Caribbean” and the first event geared towards the Caribbean diaspora. It was co-started by yours truly, in conjunction with the Recreation and Welfare association (R & W). I also served on the Montgomery County Executive's Caribbean American Advisory Group and a lifelong volunteer in Montgomery County, MD.
Two of my favorite things to do are walking and cooking because they balance out each other. The more I walk, the more I can cook and eat delicious meals!
