Jaclyn Durkin, Ph.D., is a Health Program Specialist in the NIH BRAIN Initiative working on Team Dissemination. Prior to joining NINDS, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania where she studied the regulation and function of sleep across the lifespan in Drosophila. During this time, Jaclyn organized and chaired a Gordon Research Seminar on Sleep Regulation and Function, which highlighted cutting-edge research from trainees in the sleep and circadian fields. She received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, where her graduate work focused on the role of sleep-specific oscillatory activity in experience dependent plasticity in the mouse visual system. In her spare time, Jaclyn enjoys puzzles, watching too many movies, and spending time with her three nieces.
