
Elio Peraza is the ALS Program Coordinator in the Division of Neuroscience. He supports the implementation of the "Accelerating Access to Critical Therapies for ALS (ACT for ALS)" and leads efforts to engage with the lived experience community of ALS. He also works closely with NINDS program and policy staff to respond to requests and inquiries from Congress and other internal/external stakeholders.
Prior to NINDS, Elio served as Health Services Manager at CentroNia. In this capacity, he led the organization's population health programs and community health initiatives. He began his career in the clinical field, both in private practice and hospital settings. Originally from Venezuela, he obtained his B.S. in Public Health and an M.S. in Healthcare Admin. and Mgmt., both from the University of Maryland.
