Alexandra holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and completed her postdoctoral research in the Medical School at Washington University in St. Louis. With extensive experience in neuroscience, data science, neurodegenerative disease research, and AI/machine learning/deep learning, she has excelled in both academic and industry settings, including roles at Sanford Burnham Medical Research Institute and McGill University.

She created an advanced predictive model for early Alzheimer's detection by integrating and analyzing heterogeneous longitudinal data, including MRI, fMRI, genetics, and clinical data. She also architected a high-throughput data processing pipeline and developed a software tool for lipid metabolism prediction, focusing on sphingolipid alterations in early-stage Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, Alexandra led the development of AI-driven tools to discover significant patterns and generate actionable insights that predict Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease patient outcomes in an innovative healthcare technology startup. Her diverse background equips her with the skills to tackle complex challenges and contribute to a wide range of administrative and scientific projects.

In addition to her professional expertise, Alexandra is a skilled artist, expressing her creativity through ceramics and interior design, and always finds joy in the intricate melodies of piano and violin. She has a deep passion for archaeology and anthropology. In her free time, she also enjoys horseback riding, reading, traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
