Dr. Scholz is a board-certified neurologist specializing in neurodegeneration. A tenured Lasker Scholar, she leads the Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Section at NINDS, is Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins, and consults in specialty clinics. Her work explores genetic drivers of parkinsonism, using advanced genomics to uncover risk and mechanisms in Lewy body dementia and multiple system atrophy. She serves on the editorial boards of JAMA Neurology and the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease.

Dr. Gross is a neurologist and former Editor-in-Chief of the Neurology journals (through Q1 2020). He served 8 years as Associate Editor of the journal Neurology, including 2 as Deputy Editor. His publications span cellular neuropharmacology, epilepsy, hippocampal neurogenesis, excitotoxicity, and clinical trials of anticonvulsants. He has developed mentoring programs for multiple groups and is a fellow of the ANA and AAN.

Dr. Blackstone is Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School & inaugural Scientific Director of the Mass General Brigham Neuroscience Institute, overseeing the largest hospital-based neuroscience research program in the U.S. His lab studies neurogenetic disorders, particularly hereditary spastic paraplegias. He previously served on the Editorial Board for the Annals of Neurology &, for the past 15 years with the Journal of Clinical Investigation; he’s been elected to ASCI, AAP, and NAM.
