This NINDS Office of Programs to Enhance Neuroscience Workforce Diversity (OPEN) Conversation is intended to help faculty and trainees learn more about the NIH Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research program. We will provide an overview of the supplement application, the review process, and share best practices in the approach to mentoring and career development plans. This event will serve as a networking opportunity for neuroscience trainees and faculty to interact with NINDS program staff and will also be an informational session on NIH funding opportunities that promote diversity in the research workforce.
