Join NINDS for the seventh webinar in the Preclinical CDE/Data Standards Webinar Series: “An Introduction to the NINDS Preclinical Common Data Elements & Data Standards Program (N-PRECEDS).” Featuring Program Co-Chairs Dr. Hibah O. Awwad and Dr. Severn (Ben) Churn, along with Senior CDE Curator Dr. Henry Ogoe, this webinar will provide an overview of the NINDS Preclinical Common Data Elements (CDE) & Data Standards Program and ongoing efforts to develop harmonized, curated, standardized, and machine-readable preclinical CDEs and data standards for the neuroscience research community.
 
Speakers will discuss the goals and structure of the NINDS Preclinical CDE & Data Standards Program, which involves subject matter experts, federal partners, national and international scientific community members, and related stakeholders serving the preclinical research community. The webinar will outline the seven steps in the CDE development process, with a focus on the specific curation process used for CDEs vetted through the NINDS N-PRECEDS program. In addition, speakers will provide an update on the current status of the preclinical CDEs and discuss the program’s next steps.
 
Attendees will gain insight into:
  • The ongoing partnership with community and federal partners under the framework of the NINDS Preclinical CDE & Data Standards Program. 
  • The new and modified 7-step preclinical CDE curation protocol that incorporates the highest data standards (e.g., ISO 11179, CDISC-SEND, NCI & NLM) in every step of the CDE development process.
