Please join us on October 28 when the NIH will honor the life and works of Santiago Ramón y Cajal, the father of modern neuroscience. For over a century, his Nobel Prize winning drawings have served as the blueprints for understanding how the nervous system works. As part of the celebration, the NIH will unveil seven original drawings that will be on display in a Santiago Ramón y Cajal exhibit housed in the Porter Neuroscience Research Center (PNRC, Building 35) on the NIH campus. The symposium will feature lectures by leading American and Spanish scientists, along with artists who have created Ramón y Cajal-inspired works of art on display in the PNRC.
The NIH would like to recognize the cooperation and generosity of the Spanish National Research Council and the Spanish Embassy in the celebration of the Ramón y Cajal drawings being shown for the first time in the United States.
