• Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies® (BRAIN) Initiative: The Office of the BRAIN Director manages the NIH contribution to The BRAIN Initiative®, including strategic planning, research programs, funding opportunities, resources, and more.
• The NIH Blueprint for Neuroscience Research: This collaborative framework includes the NIH Office of the Director and 12 NIH Institutes and Centers that support research on the nervous system.
• Neural Engineering at NINDS(pdf, 248 KB): NINDS supports Neural Engineering research through programs in the Divisions of Neuroscience, Translational Research, and Clinical Research. The combined portfolio spans early concept generation, technology development/optimization, translational studies and clinical trials.
• Accelerating Medicines Partnership® Program for Parkinson's Disease (AMP®PD): AMP®PD is a public-private partnership between government, industry, and nonprofit organizations focusing on identifying and validating biomarkers for predicting Parkinson’s disease, tracking disease progression, and validating therapeutic targets.
• Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias:  NINDS collaborates with NIA, the lead NIH Institute for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research, to establish research priorities and fund biomedical research in AD as well as several Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias (ADRDs).
• ONETOX - Neural Exposome and Toxicology Programs: The overall goal of ONETOX is to enhance basic, translational, and clinical NIH research on the effect of the neural exposome on nervous system diseases and disorders by fostering more collaborative research within the neuroscience research community.

NINDS Offices and Divisions Information

• Office of Research Quality: The NINDS Office of Research Quality promotes experimental and analytical rigor, measures to reduce bias, transparent reporting, and high-quality scientific research.
• NINDS Division of Translational Research (DTR): DTR accelerates basic research findings towards patient use for neurological disorders and stroke by providing funding, expertise, and resources to the research community.
• NINDS Division of Clinical Research (DCR): DCR provides oversight for clinical trials to test the safety and efficacy of innovative treatments of neurological disorders and stroke, epidemiological studies of natural history, biomarker studies, and studies designed to elucidate the causes of neurological disorders.
• Office of Global Health and Health Disparities (OGHHD): OGHHD leads the coordination and development of programs and initiatives that foster global research and research on health disparities in neurological disorders and stroke. 
• NINDS Intramural Research: Investigators in the NINDS Intramural Research program, launched in the 1950's, conduct research in the basic, translational, and clinical neurosciences at the NINDS Bethesda, Maryland laboratories.
