Virtual Networking Events at Neuroscience 2021: Learn about new NIH Funding Opportunity on Social Factors in Neurological Diseases and Disorders

Social isolation and connectiveness is an important component of the exposome that affects most neurological diseases and disorders. There is a need for more SfN neuroscientists to be engaged in this field of study. This virtual networking event will bring together researchers from diverse areas of neuroscience research and provide them information on a new NIH funding opportunity entitled “Research on Biopsychosocial Factors of Social Connectedness and Isolation on Health, Wellbeing, Illness, and Recovery”. It is intended to foster interdisciplinary research teams and prepare researchers for developing competitive applications. Attendees will learn about this new funding opportunity and have opportunities for networking among using breakout rooms and question and answer time with NIH Program Officers. Registrants do not need to be registered for SfN 2021 to attend this networking event.
