This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) invites applications for creating the Data Coordination and Artificial Intelligence Center (DCAIC) for the Brain Behavior Quantification and Synchronization (BBQS) Consortium of the BRAIN Initiative. The FOA will support a single award to a multi-disciplinary team with a single or multiple PIs working on the five interrelated areas:1) Data Management; 2) Data Standards; 3) ML/AI Resources; 4) Data Ecosystem; and 5) Dissemination, Training and Coordination.

The purpose of this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) is to highlight NIAIDs interest in supporting research aimed at a collaboration between recipients funded via the Radiation and Nuclear Countermeasures Program (RNCP) and Chemical Countermeasures Research Program (CCRP). These collaborations between RNCP- and CCRP-supported researchers will generate data that can be leveraged for new medical countermeasures (MCMs) discovery and early development funding and enhance the state-of-the-science in both research areas.

Applications investigating the pathophysiology and mechanisms of neuro-COVID and neuro-PASC and neurologically-focused human subjects research, as well as those proposing studies of scientifically compelling pathways to prevent the development of neuro-PASC or to accelerate the development of effective treatments forPASC-related neurological complications are of particular interest for this NOFO.

The purpose of this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) is to provide an opportunity for funded researchers to pursue supplemental funding to conduct research that can help to elucidate the unique trajectories and needs of late talking children.

This initiative is designed to promote discovery of cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie brain blood vessels responses to passive anti-beta-amyloid immunotherapy that result in amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA). The goal is to establish an understanding of molecular mechanisms that can be targeted to protect the blood brain barrier (BBB), and thus the brain blood vessels, during therapeutic interventions that target beta-amyloid.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications for the Alzheimers Disease (AD) and Alzheimers Disease-Related Dementias (ADRD) Real-World Data (RWD) Platform initiative. This Platform aims to transform the AD/ADRD research enterprise by serving as a central hub of research access that aims to: 1) improve applicability and generalizability of findings through larger datasets that include more diverse populations; 2) capture more complete information through linking a variety of data sources; 3) increase the speed at which scientific questions can be answered; and 4) improve researchers ability to answer questions that cannot be feasibly or readily answered via clinical trial.

The goal of this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) is to enhance the sustainability and impact of research software tools by enabling the use of best practices and design principles in software development and leverage advances in computing in a modern data ecosystem. The supplements are intended to support and encourage collaborations between scientists and software engineers to update, refactor and enhance the design, implementation, and cloud-readiness of research software and build new communities for open science.

This Notice announces the availability of supplements to active grants which are intended to support collaborations that bring together expertise in biomedicine, data management, and artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to make NIH-supported data useful and usable for AI/ML analytics. This initiative is aligned with the NIH Strategic Plan for Data Science, which describes actions aimed at modernizing the biomedical research data ecosystem and making data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) with high impact for open science. For the purposes of this Notice, AI/ML is inclusive of machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and neural networks (NN).

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to solicit P20 planning grant applications for Climate Change and Health Research Centers (CCHRCs). This program will support the development of a transdisciplinary research environment to sustain a program of fundamental and applied research to examine the impacts of climate change on health and to develop action-oriented solutions to protect the health of individuals, communities, and nations from the hazards posed by climate change.
